    Dude really good my ass, the Sixers are horrible. 2-0 is a mirage, like that Iggle first half against Washington. I'm all for a Flyers youth movement, but the Sixers don't have an NBA level player after the starting 5.

    Pretty much yes. He sold the team and got an employment contract as President of the team, or of Comcast-Spectacor which is the holding company that holds Comcast's investment in the team and the building.

    Is this what its come to for City fans? Rooting against alll 3 teams playing right now for the greater good or some crap like that? I can't root against the Flyers, that just goes against the point of being a fan. Ditto the Igs. Of course i can't root against the Sixers, that would mean I'm actually watching them.....

    @yave1964 +1 for use of nadir in a hockey forum Somehow I feel better hearing my own dismal assessment validated by an objective party. It really is this bad. But honestly I could present several realistic scenarios of things getting even worse, so I dread the rest of hockey season for what still might happen and its just barely November

    All right I'm all for a good bashing, but somebody had to go to the A when Hartnell came back, not all that strange for the last guy to the farm to be the first to get called up to replace our new-old tough guy Downie....who got a concussion in his first game back in Philly...in a fight...man he got pounded in that scuffle...I sure did like Max Talbot....Did we really give up a touchdown to the Caps without Ovechkin....yeah nevermind bash away

    I would hope Hexy would refuse the job unless he could be his own man. Of course that promise can be made an not kept. At any rate that move needs to be made now. Fired the coach 3 games in, shoulda happened over the summer but better late than never. The same should apply to Homer.

    Blow it up. Get rid of everyone except the kids. All trades include draft picks in return and or prospects. Seriously nobody over 23 coming back in trade. Nobody with coming back with a NTC or 5 years on a deal. Get a bunch of kids trying to make an NHL squad and go from there. If you're gonna be bad but building something, I can hang. But I just can't watch a bunch of big contracts getting older and taking the team to the cap only to suck balls. This is absolutely unbearable.

    I will admit have not seen the Bolts yet this year, but 5-3 after that early season gauntlet bodes well for a young team.

    A blockbuster trade isn't going to fix anything, unless you find a really, really stupid trading partner that will take our garbage and send back youth and picks. And even then that isn't the right now fix you seem to want. In the absence of that, big deals will only make it worse. So move over rover, we're going to be in here for a while.
