Rangers forward says that retaliating after receiving a cross check to the head will not be tolerated.

He's probably counting on Klein to hold Simmonds as the third man in again...

So Simmonds should just go over and crosscheck him in the head?

How perfect is it that a guy named "Glass" is coming to the defense of the guy with a glass jaw?

The NY Media must have nothing better to talk about because even they, behind closed doors, have to know that first McDonagh wasn't "protecting himself" with a cross check to the head of Simmonds.  Because by that logic, any player who is about to get checked can then rightfully put their stick up head high at the oncoming player's head.  Second, there's no way that the off balance glancing blow from Simmonds caused a concussion bad enough for McDonagh that he misses games.  The articles written in NY should be regarding the apparent fragile head of McDonagh or did he get concussed earlier in the game and nobody picked up on it.

Clearly the NHL agrees with this sentiment as there was no further disciplinary action taken against Simmonds.  The only reason this is even being discussed is because Alain Vigneault continually acts like a petulant little child.

And he's successfully turned his players and the NY media into the same thing.

They have already fought when he was a Pen...i'm sure he can't sleep at night sleeping in fear.

But what i want to know is why Mcglass wasn't given a match penalty for this cross check to the head? So if you're KO'd you're absoloved of your transgressions?

Josh Beuileau committed same "self defense cross check" to Zac Rinaldo in november and he was given a match penalty. The only difference was Josh wasn't KO'd afterwards? So is that why Mcglass didn't recieve one? Just asking to see if anyone knows.

No, Glass IS the most obsolete player.

Yep...and he is the last guy I want Simmonds to be taken off the ice for(drawn in to a fighting major with). Glass wins even when he gets his butt kicked up around his ears with that exchange.
