I really liked Brannstrom in his draft year, but haven't kept tabs on his development. He better be the next Erik Karlsson, otherwise that trade is quantity over quality IMHO. And I own Jarventie in mty keeper league.

I think Brannstrom is #7 on their depth chart. Does he have upside? idk.

I honestly don't know what Konecny's trade value on the market would be at this point. Probably not as high as we think. I don't think you'd get any more than this "quantity" deal that's for sure.

I haven't either. Can't be worse than Sanheim could he?

There are plenty of players worse than Sanheim, so yes, he could be.

I know you know this, but no team wins by dumping everyone with experience and going with younger "hungrier" or "higher upside" people.

Sanheim is the middle pairing devil we know. He grades out in the top half of the league via advanced metrics. He had a bad year last year, a data point that is outside the mean, significantly.

I'll bet he bounces back and is solid this year.

Some of the Sanheim hate reminds me of a person hating a pig because it's not a cow.

And wait we're rebuilding no one cares about winning right now.

I am willing to take the chance.

Sanheim has a bigger chance tainting someone than positively effecting them.

But I am good not agreeing on that.

But what the hey it’s only 8 more years...

I know right, 8 years is long time, so I'm hoping last season was the outlier and not the beginning of a trend.

with Travis, it's not that he's a bad influence or an asshat.  He's a farm boy from the 'scatch.

He's a hard worker, one of the first on the ice; one of the last to leave.

Other guys can take the body as far as I'm concerned. He needs to be true to himself, he's not a hitter, if that's not his game, then he shouldn't play it.

The partner can hit.

Sanheim just needs to tilt the ice in the Flyers favor, break up plays and lead some rushes at even strength, the points should come.
