Irishjim
we have had are fill of flaky russians. plus there is talk he may bolt to the khl..so AAAAAA NO
Bertmega
Nope. The second coming of Zherdev can go over the K after this season.
TimKerrFan12
Yeah....Russian players scare me. I wouldn't like that deal. Darren Dreiger on TSN did say last night that Edmonton GM MacTavish was at the Flyers/Canes the other night.
murraycraven
too risky IMO... this kid seems to have an issue w/ work ethic and I would rather keep Cooter. Add in the rumors of the KHL and no thanks.
OccamsRazor
it may be feasible. Hell no why would we want to give up a young center that playes well defensively and even helps out on the PK for a guy who doesn't like playing defense only wants to play on one side of the redline???? Why??? And he is not even producing any offense.... gp14 1g 2ast 3pts -13 .....that is an ugly stat line and if Homer makes this trade he should be fired on the spot!!!!!!!!!!!! And Coots is only 20 about to turn 21 so Yak is only a year younger Homer would be out his mind....now start over and include Eberle and you got my attention....if not then i'll pass. Bertmega
@TimKerrFan12 I heard that too (the scouting). Let's hope they were checking out Scott Hartnell.....
The Quigster
The European players just don't have what the Flyers need!
TimKerrFan12
@Bertmega Yeah they mentioned Edmonton was looking for help on the back end as well. We got lots of those, but I don't know if they will help. lol.

pensuck
how Many Goals Does Our Promising Young Star Have Again? Most People On This Board Over RatE Coots As Bad As The Flyers Have. We Need Scoring And He Doesn't Score. Even At A Wide Open Net...
jammer2
I'd pass on Yakapov at this point. I'm shocked that he is not an elite skater, he looks average speed wise out there. I thought speed was one of the strong parts of his game? Add in the constant threat of the KHL...PASS.

aziz
regarding yakupov, any player who says, "I’m going to play my game … I’m not going to change but maybe play better without the puck, or forecheck more, but I love playing with the puck. I really don’t like skating all the time, and forechecking, and hitting somebody every shift. I don’t think it’s my game," while a healthy scratch, stay the hell away from.
