Game 23: Flyers at Leafs; 11/24 @ 7 PM

The O and B head to Toronto to take on the Leafs.  Early odds put the Leafs as favorites:

Historically, we do well against Toronto:

It will be interesting to see who's our starting goalie?  Do we put Pickard in a back-to-back (against a team that waived him) or roll Stolarz?  Do we have follow-through from the win against the Rangers?

It does not appear Lyon is injured.  So...maybe the powers that be have had their fill and think Stolie is the next experiment. It appears this will be Stolie versus Garrett Sparks:

Well, if it is Stolarz, it is a great comeback story.  But what a test...

For the record I am ok starting Stolie especially if Sparks is going to be in net.

Why not.

Sparks and Lyon battled for the AHL championship last year and Lyon lost out.

However hard to blame it really on him when the Phantoms couldn't score.

Let's see if Stolie can seize this chance....

Occ and Colleagues:

In a changing world, Flyers goalie woes are a constant.

I have to give Stolie credit for a comeback.  He must have toiled big time to get back in the game.  It should be an inspiration to his teammates.

Down 3-0 after 7:44.  Two are unassisted on breakaways. What the hell is it with this squad.  Speedy teams leave us in the dust.  I am not sure if would matter about our goalie.  That said, Pickard seems almost too aggressive and over-commits to one side.  But I can't fault the guy for having no support.  And why the hell hasn't our coach called a TO and told these folks to settle in?

Stolarz has made three good stops.  Jeepers, I may have some more red...Italian stuff, Sangiovese. Straight from Wegmans....hard to watch.  Seriously, these people really are disgracing their uniform.

Watching this sorry bunch on cbc; and they just gad Don Cherry. He said that they should not have started Pickard; then stopped himself short after saying " their coach has no NHL experience as a player"; wanted to say more but either he change is mind or  was told to change it...

This is an embarrassment. @ruxpinsaid this in another thread I don't wait. I fire hakstol between periods. tonite.  Holy ****. He's not getting through or something there is no excuse for a team to look like this after the game they played yesterday.

Pickard needs waived-

Make a trade, there needs to be a shake up. I start with a new coach

Hockey Junkie:

Greetings. I am in New Jersey visiting with my brother in NJ.  I believe they are in PA and NJ.  Amazing stores.  This one is in Mount Laurel, not too far from Philly.

Small world.  My mother grew up in Rochester.  I used to visit my grandmother in Rochester...saw Red Wings baseball and the Eastman Museum...ate at a great place called Manhattan.  Nice mid--sized city.  Not sure I could take the weather but it is well-educated.
