Changes not a hell of a lot as far as I am concerned.

His wife punching him in the face didn't make him go knock other women up and then pay them off  into abortions. Or any of the other 30 things he has done

No, it certainly doesn't change of the things he's done. Definitely not.

I'm not sure why his wife punched him in the face...I'm just surprised that it wasn't his teammates.

Evander says his wife exploded on him again ... after she had gone through his phone.

I have a pretty good idea...

The saga continues

Sharks Star Evander Kane Facing A New Set of Allegations

*The NHL’s investigation into the gambling allegations has since stalled.

*The Sharks' forward is coming off one of his most productive seasons.

San Jose Sharks star Evander Kane has denied accusations made by his estranged wife that he bet on his own games.

Now, Evander Kane faces a new set of allegations by Anna Kane — including sexual assault and multiple instances of domestic battery — leveled in court documents obtained by Front Office Sports.

The numerous accusations came in a domestic violence restraining order application by Anna Kane as part of her divorce case in Santa Clara County, Calif. The application was filed on Tuesday.

The NHL launched an investigation into the gambling allegations made in a series of Instagram posts by Anna Kane in July. FOS learned earlier this month that that probe into Kane’s alleged gambling on NHL games had stalled.

An NHL spokesperson declined comment Tuesday night when FOS inquired about the sexual and domestic violence allegations. A message left with Kane’s attorney was not immediately returned.

Evander Kane has played 12 seasons in the NHL and is coming off one of his most productive seasons scoring-wise with 22 goals and 27 assists in a shortened 2020-21 season. The 30-year-old has four seasons left on a seven-year, $49 million contract.

The Athletic reported last month that several of Kane’s teammates didn’t want him back this season. His contract includes a limited no-move clause.

Evander Kane made a series of allegations as part of his bid for a protective order that was granted, in part, by the judge, according to documents obtained by FOS in August.

Evander Kane wrote in a court filing back in August that Anna Kane had assaulted him multiple times.

The two are battling for custody of their 1-year-old daughter and Anna Kane is pregnant with their second child.

Anna Kane wrote that there were “numerous other instances of Evander yelling and screaming at me or being physically aggressive toward me during our relationship.”

He's in the news again for fresh reasons

NHL Investigating Evander Kane for Breaking COVID Protocols

Evander Kane is once again under investigation, this time for allegedly breaking the NHL's COVID-19 protocols.

What has Evander Kane not been investigated for?

That's the question on everyone's minds on Tuesday afternoon as Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported that the NHL has once again opened an official investigation into the Sharks forward, this time relating to him allegedly breaking the league's COVID-19 protocols.

The news comes just days after the NHL closed an investigation into claims that Kane had been gambling on league games, of which the league did not find suitable enough evidence to confirm his guilt, before immediately opening another investigation into a series of serious accusations relating to his past behavior towards his estranged wife.

Not much is known regarding the specifics of this new investigation, only that Kane is alleged to have broken the NHL's COVID-19 protocols and therefore jeopardized the health and safety of the San Jose Sharks players and staff.

Interestingly, Kane has not reported to Sharks training camp as of the time of publication, with the team reportedly brokering an agreement with him that he should stay away "until further notice".

Being the subject of two active investigations at the moment, it's unlikely that Kane suits up for the Sharks – or any team, for that matter – any time soon.

Better and better

If true, there's San Jose's "out" from the rest of his contract. Presenting a fake vaccination card is illegal and I would think in breach of the boilerplate conduct clause in the SPC.

The DOJ said that misrepresenting the official seal of a U.S. agency, like the CDC logo on vaccine cards, could be a violation of federal law. Violators could face up to five years in prison or a $5,000 fine.

SPC, Sec. 2 (e)

Quote

The Player further agrees...

(e) to conduct himself on and off the rink according to the highest standards of honesty, morality, fair play and sportsmanship, and to refrain from conduct detrimental to the best interest of the Club, the League or professional hockey generally.

The NHLPA would probably reflexively complain about this, but I don't see how presenting a fake vaccine card - a legal violation - is among the "highest standards of honesty".

Is that really the hill the NHLPA would want to die on?

Kane is warped. He's pointing fingers at his wife for slapping him? I won't advocate any form of domestic violence, especially if a child is present. But this guy has a history of gambling, infidelity, dishonesty and just being a piece of **** in the lockerroom, and all he can say is that he might have a gambling problem, oh, but only poker....she needs money and he's casino-whore-hopping in Europe..

The guy really is an absolute idiot. In the midst of declaring he bankruptcy, he foregoes pay for 21 games. Oh, whatever... He'd have just spent it in Vegas, anyway.

I was talking about him with my parents last night and my dad said "you'd think after declaring bankruptcy he'd avoid getting into trouble" and I just said "you'd think so, but he's a dickhead"

Kane is just trouble. He wants the basketball superstar life. He wants to be a badboy with an entourage, snorting coke and gambling millions and be an annoying personality as opposed to a role model. Most of them can get away with that crap in basketball.

That sort of personality doesn't jive with hockey.
