flyercanuck
Braydon Schenn had a goal and 2 assists in 2 games back with Adirondack, leaving him a point out of 3rd in team scoring .He's played 1/3 of the games and leads the league in ppg. sekkes85
Wow, good to see him tearing up the AHL like that. I'm just hoping he can make the jump and all that at the NHL level.
brelic
Nice to hear. He should get his chance to come up again soon.Basically, if we waive Shelley, we almost have enough cap space to bring up Schenn. Waive Nodl too, and you're all set. Claude Monet
good to hear. He just needs to stay healthy at the NHL level now....With the injuries I imagine he will get the call soon.

How did we make it work for him to skate before with the big club?? We are at the cap ceiling now.http://www.capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=24I just forget how it works with IR and LTIR. How did we make it work for him to skate before with the big club??We are at the cap ceiling now.http://www.capgeek.c...rts.php?Team=24I just forget how it works with IR and LTIR.I think the issue now is that the injured guys count against the cap and so do the call-ups, leaving us without enough space to bring up Schenn. I read this morning on Philly.com that we have about $292k of cap space. However this works out, we don't have room for Schenn, Rinaldo and Z on the big club. I think both Rinaldo and Z would have to go down to make cap room for Schenn.Unless, of course, you waive Shelley and Nodl
flyercanuck
Waive Nodl and watch him turn into Patrick Sharp the sequel. Where'd this guys offensive skill go? edit: Schenn with another goal last night. Edited November 27, 2011 by flyercanuck

OccamsRazor
Nodl got injured again yesterday in the collision with Briere, Does anyone know how serious that is?No but surely i am tired of Shelley in the lineup, he's killing the flow of the 4th that they were rolling when Rinaldo wasn't in the box. idahophilly
I like Shelly but NOT at 1.1 mil, so he needs to go. LTIR Nodle and we should have enough cap space. I thought Shelly was suposed to be our fighter but in the two fights angainst the Rags it was Rinaldo and Simmonds...
Vanflyer
Waive Nodl and watch him turn into Patrick Sharp the sequel. Where'd this guys offensive skill go?I am not sure what happened to him. I always saw him as a nice third line guy with borderline 2nd line skills. His situation reminds me more of a Zubrus than a Sharp (and I really liked Zubrus- especially his size and skating). Vanflyer
Nodl got injured again yesterday in the collision with Briere, Does anyone know how serious that is?I never want a player to get injured, but I hope he is out for a spell. The problem is his cap hit is so slight that it will not be of any significance (850K or thereabouts).
Vanflyer
Saw that... three points in 2 games back, I think.4 points in 3 games. He is almost a 2 ppg. 7 games: 6g 6a 12 points. He wont stay there long at that rate~~!

Dynamo 47
That is good to hear. I keep defending him against the fans ripping him that he is a player. He needs a couple things and the first is confidence. Then he needs quality minutes and linemates with the Flyers and he will prove he is worthy of the hype. Hexy27
@Dynamo 47I agree. Most young players need a season or two with consistent minutes in the NHL. Giroux struggled at first and now look at him!
phlfly
After saw him playing for big club anf than putting for points for AHL, do you think he is AHL caliber player only?! It seems to me he can play good around AHL, and almost completely lost in NHL. Is he second Alexandre Daigle
Mad Dog
After saw him playing for big club anf than putting for points for AHL, do you think he is AHL caliber player only?! It seems to me he can play good around AHL, and almost completely lost in NHL. Is he second Alexandre DaigleWay, way too early to tell, not to mention compare him with Daigle. But he may be the type of player who can only excel at lower levels like AHL and just not have enough to be relevant in the NHL. But again, it's still way too early. idahophilly
Well, he about to get the big chance. Lavy said in an article today that he will play PP time and all. I think in the next 8-10 games will tell allot about where he's at. I have seen players that tear up AHL/Juniors but are flops at the NHL level. I have the sense though that Schenn will excel but get there slowly...
Hexy27
I think it is way too early to call Schenn a NHL bust. I remember Giroux tearing up juniors and then falling completely flat in his first NHL camp (he was expected to make the team in his first camp). He spent half the year in the AHL and that was great for him. I think this is the path Schenn is taking. If he gets some consistent time on the Flyers with consistent linemates I think he will finally breakthrough.
