We all want to blame a very young defense, but in reality...when it takes the offense half of the game to get going, chances are you're playing from behind. I thought he played well and was impressed by his mobility. Nothing flashy just sound positioning from what I saw. Just keep letting him play. I would in fact play him over Hagg if it comes down to it. Hagg has a not so good knack for turning his back to the play...and it usually will be at the wrong time. I didn't care if they won (though living in the Toronto area it'll be sweet going to hockey tonight playing with all my Leaf fan friends) but when Marleau ran Hart (I know he isn't THAT guy but he still ran him) someone should have let him know that's our most important player. Heck of a play by Ennis...and a very weak one by Ghost. His turnover to allow the last Leaf goal was also very boneheaded. flyercanuck Posted March 28, 2019 Share Posted March 28, 2019 That was one sloppy game by both teams. it's pretty rare in a 5-4 game that the goalies were actually 2 of the best players (IMO) I expected sloppy from Philly...they're not a playoff team. But I'd love to slot against that Leaf team in the postseason. I don't think they're going far with that game. It was like they were both trying to "out-turnover" each other.
