Now i will watch tonight's game. Glad they aren't waiting to be officially be eliminated to make this move.

If they did that to me it would be like admitting that Morin CAN'T help you when in fact he maybe be able to actually HELP. Not saying he will be i hope he can.

I just read this all together quickly and came away with "G-string"

Which, come to think of it, would be a great nickname for #28.

Another stellar first period for the Flyers! Has any team in this league sucked at first periods more than the Flyers?

That's the thing. We all want to blame a very young defense, but in reality...when it takes the offense half of the game to get going, chances are you're playing from behind. Oh that's right, they are almost always losing after 1 or 2.

Screwed by the refs...

But thanks to two guys...

...Coots gets his 2nd goal of the game...

...and Hart pulls his Boucher impression!!!

Shuts the door!

These guys need a miracle.

Solid win even though it wasn't pretty!

So what did folks think about #5 ?

I only saw the last 8 minutes of regulation and the ot , the shift I saw of him was pretty solid.  He made a good pinch and then made a solid play back in our end, skating seemed good to me.

I thought he played well and was impressed by his mobility.

Nothing flashy just sound positioning from what I saw.

Just keep letting him play. I would in fact play him over Hagg if it comes down to it.

Hagg has a not so good knack for turning his back to the play...and it usually will be at the wrong time.

So keep easing him in and go from there.

He will be a good D man to have next year.

I am f*%king done with this team. #12 Leafs should be in a coma, nobody puts a hand on him. What a bunch of *******.

I didn't care if they won (though living in the Toronto area it'll be sweet going to hockey tonight playing with all my Leaf fan friends) but when Marleau ran Hart (I know he isn't THAT guy but he still ran him) someone should have let him know that's our most important player.

Tell me how this is on Sam Morin...

really?

Heck of a play by Ennis...and a very weak one by Ghost. His turnover to allow the last Leaf goal was also very boneheaded. The guy was never great defensively but he was never as bad as he has been this year. Hopefully he gets back on track next season.

They easily could have been up 1-2-3 zip if not for some stellar play by Andersen (and a lucky post) early in the 1st.

That was one sloppy game by both teams. it's pretty rare in a 5-4 game that the goalies were actually 2 of the best players (IMO)

I expected sloppy from Philly...they're not a playoff team. But I'd love to slot against that Leaf team in the postseason. I don't think they're going far with that game. It was like they were both trying to "out-turnover" each other.
