Poulin20
I took my 4 year old down to the arena tonight for a STH meet and greet with the players with the intent of having him meet G as it is the only player he really knows. After about 15 mins in the Giroux line a lady comes up to us and says that G will not be there tonight as he is being evaluated by team doctors. They would not give us any more details. News reports are that he is OK Here are some of the news articles on this http://www.csnphilly.com/hockey-philadelphia-flyers/claude-giroux-being-evaluated-flyers-medical-staff http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sports/flyers/Flyers-Claude-Giroux-being-evaluated-by-team-doctors.html http://www.nj.com/flyers/index.ssf/2014/11/flyers_claude_giroux_being_looked_at_for_medical_issue_concussion.html In the end we met Ryan White, Coburn, Read, and Jake. Ryan White was cool and probably just happy to be there he asked my son if he skated and played and my son proudly told him that he loves to skate and is in a hockey skills program. Coburn was very blah...I think he could have cared less about being there. Read and Jake were awesome and talked a lot to my son. My son Ben is very affectionate and loving and he actually got White, Read, and Jake to give him a hug, in fact he got Jake to give him a second hug and had him laughing with some of the off the wall funny stuff he says. Good times!!

Good times!! that is great 20! Love these stories... I remember as a kid I met Peter Zezel and he was the nicest guy in the world. Really sweet demeanor about him and very genuine. Great day for your boy... although, it is a shame dirty mitts could not make it I am sure there will be more events where your boy will get the chance to meet him. murraycraven
@murraycravenMetzler is now tweeting lower body injury.Bizarre HF... Just odd how this unfolded... time to put Rinaldo up on the 1st line C position In all seriousness I hope this is not something that will leave him out of the lineup for long. RJ on the first huh? wonderful... is B Schenn still on the wing or they moving him over to Center?
brelic
Apparently lower-body/ankle injury http://www.courierpostonline.com/story/flyer-files/2014/11/18/no-one-seems-to-know-whats-wrong-with-flyers-captain-claude-giroux/19220521/According to multiple sources, it appears Giroux's injury is of the "lower-body" variety. One source said that Giroux left Jefferson University Hospital Tuesday morning on crutches while another said the injury is believed to be a tweaked ankle. mojo1917
Let Giroux is suk take as long as he needs to get well. The team can fold, be in the lottery , get lucky , draft McDavid or Eichel and be set up San Antonio Spurs style for a decade.a fella can dream can't he ? ... sigh

jackhole
Awww, RJ on the top line I'd rather see PEB/Jake/Schenn if we're gonna shake it up. So if RJ can't get it done with the hottest player (offensively - get your mind out-a-da gutter, sheesh..) in the NHL, he's really going to feel like a POS, he may never get out of his funk. I heard Hextall just updated his status on the local radio show and said it's "days and not weeks". Of course with the Flyers you never know... Well, now that you mentioned it, we should be expecting an out for the rest of the season prognosis any minute now.
King Knut
The only thing that's weird about this as far as I can see is that something similar has happened so many times this year. There's nothing wrong... Then there's siluddenoy something wrong. More wrong than they thought. This is getting weirder.
