  1. None, if they only score a goal a game. Hitch might need to loosen up their defensive system a bit, or they might exit early again. Miller or no Miller.
  2. Probably 4 games. 2 for the act itself and 2 for being a Flyer.
  3. I just want 3 out of 4 points to get into the Pens' heads. Mason better start both games because I don't trust Emery or Heeter a bit. As far as the playoffs, I want Crosby to be home from the playoffs in time to run for the Kentucky Derby . The Flyers will STILL beat them in a 7 game series, especially without a healthy Letang.
  4. Orlov got off lightly, in my opinion. He left his feet recklessly, with no attempt to pull up, and went into Schenn with Brayden's back to him. Four games would have been appropriate.
  5. or the other 200 that were directly his fault, LOL good ol' Leaky. I just threw up in my mouth a little. He flat out lost us the Cup, end of story.
  6. If that's the case, then by all means the Flyers will jump in, and outbid you for him .
  7. @Hockey Junkie Reloading and rebuilding can be done quickly, you just need the right people at the top. The NJ Devils were able to do that all the time because they had such a great farm system, and a GM that knew what he was doing.
  8. Here, HockeyJunkie you can have Daley. You're still 4 years from being considered a quality NHL team.
  9. Miller isn't staying, get over it. Besides him. why the hell would Moulson or Ehrhoff want to stay on your crappy team particularly if they have a chance to go to play for a playoff caliber team , anyway? Your team is about 4 seasons from being relevant. Accumulate draft picks and rebuild. BTW, one thing is for sure besides death and taxes and that is that the Flyers aren't afraid of lucrative contracts. Ehrhoff helps fill a need for the Flyers, a defenseman who can skate, and isn't 40.
  10. "Great things about the NHL shootout" - by everyone in the Flyers organization.
  11. I added a few to this list 1) Buffalo trades Miller to St. Louis 2) NY Islanders trades Vanek to Minnesota 3) Buffalo trades Moulson to Vancouver 4) Edmonton trades Hemsky to Chicago 5) Hainsey to stay put. 6) Jagr to Detroit 7) Gagner to TB 8) Callahan to SJ. 9) Daley to stay put. 10) Ehrhoff to Philly 11) Boyes to Anaheim 12) Ruutu to Columbus 13) Stajan to stay put 14) Stempniak to Montreal 15) Halak to Washington 16) Yakupov to stay put 17) Broudeur to Anaheim 18) Byfuglien to Boston 19) Stewart to stay put. 20) Kadri to stay put. 21) Meszaros to SJ
  12. Byfuglien is always rumored to the Flyers because he is another big dman, just like Coburn and Schenn, who thinks he can skate and coughs up the puck on most of his shifts. Oh and he takes bad penalties. He'd be a PERFECT Flyer defenseman. Of course, he once played in Atlanta, the home of the great defenseman and a Flyer scouting hub, so it makes him a great candidate to be traded here. I smell a 7 year deal with a NMC in the works.
  13. HE WAS OFFSIDES BY 5 FEET (since 1980) ! LOL.
  14. No surprise. Crosby didn't want him on the team. Polaris should rip me for this any minute now. Waiting...
  15. I would keep Couturier before Read but #14 would most likely get you more on the trade market. He's a potential shut down defensive forward that teams would like to have for a playoff run. Good that they at least made a somewhat sane contract for a goalie this season.
  16. "How to sign free agents in or near their prime." by Paul Holmgren with forward from Ed Snider. "My great games as a Flyer defenseman" by Luke Schenn and Mark Streit with foreward from Braydon Coburn.
  17. I 'm hoping for Zac to get the Gordie Howe hat trick, and a Flyers win!
  18. I didn't even watch or listen to the 1st and 2nd period because I couldn't, but from what I've seen it's consistently that the defense isn't mobile enough. They also trapped in their own zone when the other team aggressively forechecks with a lot of speed. They get beat to almost every loose puck along the boards in their own zone. They gave up too many shots tonight that were great scoring chances, and Mason couldn't bail them out this time.
  19. Don't laugh. They're probably negotiating a 2-year contract with Peter Forsberg as we speak.
  20. I never had a question that Meszaros is talented and would produce. The fear I have is always that he will be out more than in the lineup with chronic injuries. He's playing great since he's come back but I would still seriously consider going in another direction after this season.
  21. At this point, I would see if anyone is stupid enough to take on Hartnell's salary, and then do Timonen a favor for being a good player for us for a while, and trade him to a contender. Also, I would see what young help on D could be gotten for Read or Schenn but not Couturier. In a perfect world, I'd rather trade Coburn, but no one will want that contract unless it is part of a much bigger deal. The organization has screwed itself into a corner because of its overloyalty of NTCs. The farm system is getting a little better but still sucks in terms of almost NHL ready prospects.
